The application suite

SCENARIbuilder and SCENARIchain: the backbone

The SCENARI application suite is made up of three main elements:

  • SCENARIchain which allows authors to create content and publish documents within a publishing chain created with SCENARIbuilder.
  • SCENARIbuilder which is used by modelers to design publishing chains specific to particular professions, by combining configurable components (primitives).
  • The SCENARI framework is a generic technical system to help developers make configurable components available to modelers so they can design publishing chains in SCENARIbuilder.

SCENARIserver and SCENARIclient: bringing together and sharing content

For authors, the SCENARI application can also be deployed in a client/server version:

  • SCENARIclient is a "light" version of SCENARIchain that only works with SCENARIserver, with no way of storing content produced by an author locally on a hard disk.
  • SCENARIserver is the server version of SCENARI, controlling the centralized storage of the content from the client SCENARIchain or SCENARIclient workstations.
